After four years of having all access to my university's gym and never going Finally joining Planet Fitness only to get kicked out by the coronavirus. To now trying to be as consistent as I can with a home workout plan. Can I do it?
When I was younger, I used to do yoga and workout everyday. I had weights, a yoga mat, and a yoga ball, and On Demand Comcast which showed a wide variety of workout rountines. So why am I not as active as I used to be? Because of two things; Comcast got rid of their exercise channel and my family were constantly telling me that I needed to slow down because I was gaining too much muscle to be 10.

But honestly, looking back, I couldn't even be mad at that because if you casually walked into a room and saw your 10 year old family member randomly doing this post from the picture, you would be confused as well. At this age and probably even younger, I was pausing Kim Possible to get a quick meditation in. But honestly, where is this person today? Because I need her back. I need this energy back. Im only 23 and I'm already complaining of back and knee issues. If there's a new dance where you're required to get low to the floor, count me out because my knee isn't ready for that.
I tried meditating recently and was tired from breathing. LMAO. This is not okay! Don't even ask me about my patience. I'll select the workout video of my own choice and still complain about how long it is. "OMG it's not over yet", "Wow, we're still going", "Ok. I'm done." And this is also coming from a person who needs a nap before their real nap, before there bedtime. But don't let me over sleep during my nap and miss bedtime. OK, I'm joking, not entirely, but it's time to change this pattern. But how?
Patience
About a week ago, I started this workout plan. I was doing it everyday and then I stopped. Why? Well because I wasn't seeing the results I wanted to see as fast as I wanted to. I'm on a weight gain journey and I want to gain muscle but it's taking forever. First things first, work on my patience. I must remember that things take time.
Plan
Usually I would go with the flow but I think it would be best to create a plan for my workouts and schedule them. For example. Monday will be arms. Wednesday is for core, and Friday is for glutes and legs and with yoga somewhere in between. With a plan in mind, I can now look furthur into what workout videos and routines would be best for me.
Consistency
Giving it a week and then stopping and/or procrastinating is something I normally do. If I want to see results, I must do the work.
With that being said, I'm ready! Starting today, Monday, 4/20/20, I am putting my workout routine back into motion and I WILL do the work, be patient, and see the results.
To whom it may concern, Happy 420! How will you be celebrating?
Wherever you are, goodmorning, good afternoon, good evening, and have a good night!
I'll be back to talk "S" word with you all later!
